Alexandra Orton was born and raised on the east coast in the Washington DC area. She loved the greenery and the abundance of water. She traveled west as a teenager and fell in love with the surreal skies, colors and textures of the Arizonan desert. Her creations usually combine her love of these two areas.
Alexandra has been creating since a very early age and is constantly challenging herself to new mediums, seeking every opportunity to create. She is known for her love of vibrant colors, her passion for art and for her 'Windows of the Soul' portraits. These portraits capture not only a likeness of the subject's face, but also a taste of the soul in their eyes.
Alexandra is a Christian and lives with her husband and children in the beautiful Arizona desert and displays her work at the Gallery of Dreams in St. David, Arizona.
