Alexandra Orton was born and raised on the east coast. She loved the
greenery and the abundance of water. When she traveled west she fell in
love with the surreal skies, colors and textures of the Arizonan
desert and has lived there since the early nineties. Much of her
work vascillates between her two loves and sometimes even combines
the two as in her painting, A
Fish Out of Water
. (Shown above)
Alexandra
has been creating since a very early age and is constantly
challenging herself to new mediums, seeking every opportunity to create. She is known for her
love of vibrant colors and her passion for sharing art's
importance in lives. She is also known for her Windows of the
Soul portraits where she encapsulates a picture within the
eyes.
Alexandra
lives with her husband and children in the beautiful Arizona desert
and displays her work at the Gallery of Dreams in St. David, Arizona. |
